Seeking Part-time Admin. Assistant for Center for Redemptive Education

Brief summary of Job Description:

• Provide for the safe, efficient and effective administration of Center for Redemptive Education
programs.

Reports to:
Campus Coordinator

Schedule:
Hours: Monday through Thursday, 8:30 am–3:30 pm.
Lighter schedule during mid-June to mid-August and campus holidays.
Paid on an hourly basis twice monthly.

Location:
8220 Little River Turnpike, Annandale, VA (Calvary Church office and campus)

Responsibilities
• Ensure that all enrolled students have needed documents on record.
• Ensure that all background checks, CPR training, safety drills and other safety-related
requirements for teachers and educational program volunteers are completed.
• Provide teachers with IDs, curricular files, class lists, relevant student medical information,
parental and carpool information.
• Ensure office coverage and train and oversee any office volunteers.
• Organize sign-ups for office volunteers, community events, lunch and recess, carpool and other
volunteer needs.
• Maintain the academic year calendar.
• Prepare for and coordinate scheduling and materials for information sessions, the annual
conference, workdays, family event days and June camp.
• Manage or supervise the use of audiovisual equipment, including for meetings and events.
• Ensure that new hires sign employment papers and transmit the data to the Bookkeeper and
Treasurer.
• Serve as on-campus liaison to all applicable vendors and communicate negotiated rates/contracts
with the Bookkeeper and Treasurer.
• Know the CRE Administrative Procedures Manual.
• Receive mail and forward or handle it as appropriate; deposit checks and notify the Bookkeeper
and Treasurer.
• Track hours of substitutes and other independent contractors engaged on campus, and notify the
Bookkeeper and Treasurer.
• Maintain subscriptions to and order books and supplies.
• Manage the office space and coordinate the routine cleaning up and closing up of the building.
• Maintain inventory of all physical resources (e.g., books, school supplies, tools and materials)
and manage on-site and off-site storage areas.
• Provide administrative support for the Community Initiatives and teacher certification programs.
Perform any other duties as outlined in the CRE Administrative Procedures Manual and assist the
Campus Coordinator and the President with administrative tasks as needed.
